Like many graduate students, I was attracted to Wellington Management for the firm's outstanding reputation. I had heard about the company's culture and that people come and stay with the firm a long time. I now understand why.
When you join a new firm, everyone is a stranger. Yet from the beginning of my internship at Wellington Management, I was treated with respect. The people here are extremely knowledgeable and friendly, willing to help each other learn and grow. Your mentors want to see you succeed.
I became a contributing member of the Quantitative team right from the start. The firm designed a project for me to independently develop a quantitative model that predicts stock returns.
